House in Mara

For the last one month, I have been repairing an old house in Maasai land. Initially, the wall, floor and ceiling were completely eaten up by termites and needed complete repair. Termites are gone, but the entire house was infested by flea, bed-bugs and lice! I sprayed the entire house after house repair, but some population is definitely alive in this house since I am constantly getting some kind of insect bites… The water system depends on rain water harvesting, but there is no water left in the tank now. Most importantly I am in a process of building a fence around the house to keep my dogs away from livestock nearby. I hear in July, lots of elephants will move from the reserve to forest next to my house. I heard that chilli pepper works 100% as elephant deterrent so I am planning to elephant proof my fence using chilli.
